P3414

Cylinder 2 Exhaust Valve Control Circuit Performance

DTC P3414, sometimes indicated as P341400 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the auxiliary emissions system causing cylinder 2 exhaust valve control circuit performance.

This code is set when the PCM detects a problem with the Cylinder 2 exhaust valve control circuit. There are several possible causes for this code, including a defective exhaust valve, a defective exhaust valve actuator, or a wiring problem.
If this code is set, the first thing you should do is check the exhaust valve and exhaust valve actuator for proper operation. If either of these components is defective, it will need to be replaced.
If the exhaust valve and actuator are both working properly, the next step is to check the wiring for any faults. If any of the wiring is defective, it will need to be replaced.
