P3416

Cylinder 2 Exhaust Valve Control Circuit High

DTC P3416, sometimes indicated as P341600 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the auxiliary emissions system causing cylinder 2 exhaust valve control circuit high.

The code means that the PCM has detected a high voltage or short circuit in the exhaust valve control circuit for cylinder 2. This could be caused by a defective exhaust valve, wiring or connector issue, or PCM problem.
The first step in diagnosing this code is to check for an exhaust leak. If there is a leak, it needs to be fixed. If there is no leak, the next step is to check the wiring and connectors for damage or corrosion. If everything looks okay, the next step is to test the PCM.
