  • USA Recall: Should this occur, limited opening of the throttle will occur, even with the accelerator pedal fully depressed to the floor.
    Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. the cable adjuster bracket nut on the outer sleeve of the throttle cable can become displaced fromthe cable abutment bracket on the engine.

    Corrective Action:
    Dealers will inspect these vehicles and modify the throttle cable system.

    Additional Notes:
    Owner notification began march 16, 1998. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact jaguar at 1-800-4jaguar (1-800-452-4827), option #3.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
