    The rear liftgate gas cylinder-to-body attachment ball studs may fracture. if a ball stud fractures, the liftgate will not remain in the open position. bodily injury could result if the liftgate drops while someone is under it. correction: ball studs built with higher strength material will be installed on affected vehicles.
