    The accelerator pedal rod material is excessively brittle and may break during a hard full throttle application. should the rod break, the engine would return to idle. this could result in an inability to properly accelerate the vehicle in a circumstance which could cause a vehicular accident without warning. correction: accelerator rods on affected vehicles will be replaced with new rods.
