CA Recall: Powertrain
On certain trucks, an improperly seated or missing u-joint snap ring can result in the bearing cup to separate from the slip yoke sub-assembly. the u-joint could then contact the slip yoke casting and eventually cause the ear to fracture. this could result in additional damage to the driveline, the vehicle and any nearby objects. correction: dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the driveshafts.
