    On certain trucks, incorrect software installed during vehicle assembly will cause the diesel particulate filter (dpf) inhibit function to be disabled. as such, the driver may not be able to stop, or be aware that, dpf regeneration is occurring. should this happen while the vehicle is in a location that presents a hazardous situation, it could result in a fire. correction: dealers will change electronic module control parameters.
