    On certain vehicles, the routing of the alternator cable may cause the cable to rub against engine components. if not detected during regular maintenance inspections the insulation can rub to a point of exposing the electrified cable which could create an arc that could result in a fire. correction: a notice will sent to the affected customers to inspect for proper routing, correct the proper routing and replace any components showing signs of wear.
