Recall 2015219

  • CA Recall: Brakes
On certain vehicles, corrosion may occur in the abs hydraulic unit due to a reaction between the brake fluid and the surface treatment of the internal valves. if this were to occur and the abs hydraulic unit is activated, one or more of the valves could seize. this could result in longer brake pedal travel and increased stopping distances, which may increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. correction: dealers will flush and clean the hydraulic unit by replacing the brake fluid with higher grade (dot4) fluid. if module valve movement is determined to be poor, the abs hydraulic unit will be replaced.
