Recall 2017067

  • CA Recall: Electrical
On certain vehicles, the positive cable which connects the battery to the fuse box may not meet the manufacturer's specification. if movements between the cable and the fuse box occur, in combination with very high current flow, the tin coated connections may degrade over time. this could lead to a break in the electrical connection and create a non-starting condition, possible flickering of the display in the instrument cluster, or in some cases, an engine stall with a loss of various vehicle systems while the vehicle is in motion, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. correction: dealers will replace the positive battery cable connector with one that is silver-coated and further secure it to the fuse box.
