Recall 2018251

  • CA Recall: Fuel supply
Certain models equipped with a tire inflator kit may fail to comply with the requirements of canada motor vehicle safety standard (cmvss) 301 – fuel system integrity. the company’s internal testing indicates that, under certain conditions in a rollover following a severe rear-impact crash, a sensor attached to the fuel tank may contact the rear floor panel, and possibly cause a fuel leak. fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. correction: dealers will install a lock-ring on the fuel tank that shields the vapour pressure sensor.
