CA Recall: Structure
On certain motorhomes, the frame rail extensions may not adequately support the trailer hitch mounting flange. under certain loading or heavy braking conditions, the trailer hitch could detach, which would result in the separation of a towed vehicle or trailer, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. correction: dealers will inspect and, if necessary, add a steel insert to increase the strength of the frame rail and strengthen the attachment of the hitch. note: this recall supersedes recall 2017-166. vehicles repaired under the previous recall will require re-inspection and possible additional repair.
