  • CA Recall: Wheels
    Issue: on certain cars, the wheel lug nuts were not properly tightened during assembly. this could cause the nuts to loosen or fall off, and could result in a wheel separating from the car. note: for the ioniq model, this recall only involves the ioniq phev (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) version. safety risk: a wheel separation could increase the risk of a crash. a wheel that detaches from a vehicle could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people. corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their car to a dealer to ensure the front and rear wheel nuts are properly tightened.
