    Issue: on one van, the wedge-type stops (abutting wedges) may not be properly mounted to the b-pillars. as a result, in a severe frontal crash, the front doors could be compressed into the b-pillars. this could make the doors difficult to open. safety risk: if it is difficult to exit or access the vehicle after a collision, there could be an increased risk of injury. corrective actions: mercedes-benz will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take the vehicle to a dealer to inspect the wedge-type stops and correct the positioning, if necessary.
