  • CA Recall: Engine
    Issue: on certain vehicles, the exhaust gas recirculation (egr) pipe may not be completely sealed. this could cause hot exhaust gas to leak into the engine compartment. as a result, nearby components (like the oil separator) could be damaged. safety risk: an exhaust leak in the engine compartment could damage components and create the risk of a fire. corrective actions: mercedes-benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect and repair the screw connections and flange seals on the egr pipe.
