  • CA Recall: Steering
    Issue: on one x5 xdrive40i model, a bearing plate for the steering column shaft may not have been properly attached to the vehicle. as a result, the plate could loosen and cause a change in steering control. safety risk: a loose steering column could affect steering control and increase the risk of a crash. corrective actions: bmw will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take the vehicle to a dealer to inspect the steering column shaft bearing plate. it will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.
