    Issue: on certain vehicles, the cable duct under the starter-generator may not be properly attached. as a result, the wiring harness could contact the transmission carrier. if this happens, the wiring could short circuit. safety risk: a short circuit can create the risk of a fire. corrective actions: mercedes-benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to secure the cable duct under the starter-generator.
