    Issue: on certain rv trailers, the exhaust exit for the water heater was installed too close to a slide-out room. as a result, exhaust fumes and carbon monoxide from the water heater could enter the trailer. safety risk: a buildup of exhaust inside the trailer could cause carbon monoxide poisoning. corrective actions: jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to relocate the water heater exhaust so that it is not directly below the slide-out room. to reduce the safety risk, jayco recommends that you should turn off the water heater until the recall repairs have been completed.
