    Issue: on one vehicle, the ground connection for the electric auxiliary heater in the motor compartment may not have been properly tightened. as a result, the connection and wiring could overheat. this problem may also cause the left headlamp not to work. safety risk: a loose or overheated connection could create the risk of a fire. a headlamp that does not work could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. corrective actions: mercedes-benz will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect and tighten the ground connection for the electric auxiliary heater, as necessary.
