    Issue: on certain trucks, the stainless steel cover for the side air-intake on the hood may not be properly attached. as a result, the intake cover could detach from the truck while driving. safety risk: an air-intake cover that detaches from the truck could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people, and could increase the risk of a crash. corrective actions: daimler truck north america (dtna) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dtna authorized service facility to replace the side air-intake cover on the hood.
