  • CA Recall: Airbag
    Issue: on certain vehicles, the air bag control unit may not work properly due to a software error. as a result, the airbag warning light and warning messages may not turn on when there is a problem with the airbag system or the pedestrian protection system. safety risk: an airbag system that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. corrective actions: bmw will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the airbag control unit software. to reduce the safety risk, bmw recommends that you should not transport any passengers until the recall repairs have been completed.
