  • USA Recall: The school bus chassis does not meet the requirements offmvss 301. also, spilled fuel can result in a fire when exposed to a sourceof ignition.
    The school bus chassis failed the fmvss 301 crash barrier test when a return fuel hose was severed, resulting in a fuel loss greater than the amount allowed by the standard.

    Corrective Action:
    Lengthen and reroute the fuel return hose.

    System: fuel tank; fmvss 301.vehicle description: school bus chassis with 35 gallon fuel tank / cage system.model numbers 1753, 1853, 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900fc.
