  • USA Recall: Vehicle category: heavy trucks equipped with diesel engines caterpillar modelno. 3406b.system: engine; governor control shield
    Shield over the governor flyweights may detatch from carrier and interfere with movement of the weights and governor linkage. the vehicle operator may not be able to shift into gear selected or to prevent engine over-speed.

    Corrective Action:
    Shields found to be cracked will be replaced and staked at four points. others will be staked at two additional points, making a total of four.
