  • USA Recall: This could result in either a loss of individual lamp functions, or in the case of a short of the broken wires that causes a fuse to open, in the loss of stop lamp or tail lamp function. loss of stop lamp or tail lamp function could increase the risk of a crash.
    Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. a decklid wire harness can fatigue and develop broken wires in the bend area of the wire harness.

    Corrective Action:
    Dealers will replace the decklid wire harness.

    Additional Notes:
    Owner notification began december 19, 2000. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact ford at 1-800-392-3673. also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
