  • USA Recall: If the bond deteriorates, it could provide less than the intended level of glass retention in the event of a crash.
    Vehicle description: mini vans. these vehicles may have been built with incorrect urethane, resulting in an adhesive bond rather than the intended molecular bond for the front windshield and rear liftgate glass.

    Corrective Action:
    Dealers will replace the windshield and liftgate glass.

    Additional Notes:
    Ford recall no. 00s01.owner notification began march 24, 2000. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact ford at 1-800-392-3673.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
