  • UK Recall: Steering components may not be torqued to specification
    >A) exhaust butterfly cable support replacement - excess heat from the catalytic converter could cause the cable support to melt or burn. b) ohlins steering damper bearing - the uniball bearing could slip out of its seat. c) steering damper retaining screws - two retaining damper screws may slacken from original torque setting. d) swinging arm shafts rh and lh shafts need to be checked for correct tightness torque. e) front brake master cylinder fluid reservoir tube - the front brake master cylinder fluid reservoir connection tube may interfere with the reservoir retaining screw.

    Corrective Action:
    A) exhaust butterfly cable support will be replaced with a new part of higher heat rating. b) steering damper bearing it is necessary to install the retaining washer to prevent this. c) it is necessary to tighten the steering damper screws with appropriate threadlocker applied ot the original torque setting. d) check swinging arm shafts rh and lh for correct tightness torque. e) it is necessary to replace the nut with a new washer and re-designed retaining nut.
