• Recall 103844 [USA]: The weakened seat belt may fail to properly restrain the seat occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
  Allied recreation group, inc. (allied) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 american coach-brand american eagle and american revolution and certain 2013 american tradition motor homes equipped with certain villa iss gsk powered driver and passenger seats. The seat belt attachment may be incorrect and the seat belt may fray if it rubs along a steel bracket in the seat, reducing its strength. As such, these seats do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 209, "seat belt assemblies."
  allied will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat belt attachment hardware and if necessary, reinstall the seat belts using new hardware and a protective sheath on the retractor side of the belt. In addition, the seat belt webbing of the affected seats will be inspected, and will be replaced if damage has resulted from an incorrect installation. When the button is pressed to release the seat belt, the latch plate can become partially engaged with the buckle, making the seat belt difficult to unlatch. • Recall 2018236 [Canada]: Steering
  On certain vehicles, a rubber-coated braided power steering hose may have inadequate clearance to the starter power stud due to incorrect routing. This could cause the power steering hose to rub against the stud on the starter motor, which could cause an electrical arc and a power steering fluid leak. A power steering leak in the presence of an electrical arc could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. A power steering fluid leak could also require additional steering effort which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: daimler trucks of north america service facilities will reroute the power steering hose to ensure proper clearance to starter stud.

• Recall 2016480 [Canada]: Brakes
  On certain motorhomes equipped with a heavier weight adjustable straight foot pedal, the brake activation signal to the motorhome’s brake lights and to certain towed devices may not deactivate when the motorhome service brakes are released. This may cause the motorhome brake lights to potentially remain illuminated, which would result in the following road users being unaware of the driver's intentions. Additionally, if the brakes of a towed vehicle were to remained engaged, it could result in a loss of vehicle control. Both of these conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Daimler trucks north america authorized service facilities will replace the torsion spring of the pedal assembly with an improved spring.

There are a number of various safety related defects that could result in serious injury or death. The typical moving weight of this vehicle is in excess of 55,000 lbs. 1) belted seats are inappropriately secured. The front structure contains the steering, which is bolted to a center structure known as the liberty chassis. The center structure is bolted to a rear freightliner structure that has the engine. It should be noted that there is a large tv above the drivers seat. The structure holding the tv has serious welding and workmanship defects.
