  • Recall 143068 [USA]: A sticking or dragging brake could affect braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.
    Bmw of north america, llc (bmw) is recalling certain 2019 c 400 x, 2018-2020 g 310 gs, and 2017-2020 g 310 r scooters and motorcycles. The front and rear brake caliper pistons may corrode, possibly causing the piston to stick or drag in the caliper bore.
    bmw will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front and rear brake calipers, free of charge. The recall began march 13, 2020. Owners may contact bmw customer service at 1-800-525-7417.

  • Recall RM/2019/009 [UK]: Corrosion could occur within the unanodized calliper piston bore
    Corrosion on the surface of the calliper could impair the piston's clearance within the bore.

    Abnormal corrosion may occur in the brake calliper the g 310 and c 400 models.

  • Recall 2019405 [Canada]: Brakes
    Issue: over time, the front and rear brake calipers on certain motorcycles could corrode. As a result, the brake piston to could stick inside its cylinder bore. This would affect brake performance. Safety risk: reduced brake performance can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the front and rear brake calipers with improved parts.

Harrison eurosports (339 w 9000 s, sandy, ut 84070, (801) 618-2700) was contacted by phone and it was confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
