I had two blowouts on the front tire (drivers side) and back tire (drivers side). On sept. 26, 2009. I ran into the curb and almost lost control of the vehicle; but since i was only going about 40 mph i was able to keep from crashing or rolling over. On the 7th of sept my tire went flat and i took it to sears and they advised it was the valve stem that caused the flat. They replaced the valve stem per my road hazard agreement. Back in march of 2009 i had a flat while on vacation in fort worth and took it to discount tires, and they informed me that it was the valve stem and that there was a recall on the stem. Upon returning home i took my car to sears and informed them of the incident and they advised they were not aware of a recall, checked the valve stems and said they didn't see anything wrong. When the blowouts occurred, we took the tires back to sears and had to pay for replacement tires (with the roadhazard fee it was apprx $230) because sears still says they have not received information on a recall notice for bridgestone tire valve stems. I found the information on the internet and also was made aware in march by the discount tire store in fort worth. I still have 2 tires from sears remaining on the vehicle and they will not replace them due to recall. *tr

I purchased four premium bridgestone tires ($168 each). Two of these have now failed prematurely due to catastrophic tread separation. The first was at 29,000 miles, the second at 32,000 miles. Both still had plenty of tread depth remaining. I believe that my safety is at risk with the two remaining tires. These tires were never driven off-road, and were well cared for prior to sudden failure. The tire model was bridgestone r273swp. *tr

I purchased new tires around february 2007 from sears at the virginia center commons store location. Within three weeks between april and may of 2008 i experienced three flats. Two of the flats were on the same day within 2 hours of each other. I had the fourth one replaced at this time. All three flats were because of faulty valve stems. Recently i read about a 6 million recall of tr413 valve stems from tech international a distributor of shanghai baolong. I believe my problem is part of the recall which notified the clients but not the public. Fortunately none of the flats occurred at high speed while on the highway but on secondary roads at speeds of 45mph or less. I did complain to sears on their feedback survey but received no reply. I had purchased road hazard with the tires so i was not charged for any of the repairs but am upset about the lack of reply and the lack of notice to the public. I am unsure if any tire damage resulted from the flats. Sincerely denise barwick *tr

Vibration at speeds of approximately 42, 62 and 72 mph, especially when road is curving to the left, that makes the entire vehicle vibrate, so that it is undrivable. Capitol honda replaced tires with other tires and vibration was not found. When original tires reinstalled, vibration returns. Honda dealer believes that the imbalance is in the tires. Have taken tires back to america's tire twice for re-balance and they have added weights each time, by about 1/2 oz. *tr

Driving on fla. Turnpike, experienced tread separation on right rear passenger tire. Had to change tire to small "doughnut" spare. Went back to home base to purchase tire(s) for car before proceeding with trip. Was told by pep boys i only needed to replace the tire that had tread separation, so consumer only purchased the one tire. Consumer continued on trip. Next day, consumer experienced another tread separation, this one on left front drivers side. This tread separation caused extensive damage to the vehicle's (a 1990 cadillac fleetwood brougham, in show room shape) front panel, rocker panel, wheel trim, ball joints, idler arm and alignment of chassis. Consumer had to change this tire to small spare, causing stress and possible injury to lower back. Consumer had just completed back traction treatments on 8/30/07. The treadless tire and damaged wheel structure parts are available for inspection and pictures taken of it and damages to vehicle. Consumer purchased new tire to replace this second separation and in fear that the remaining two tires that had tread on them would separate as well , purchased new tires for them as well. Tires: bridgestone p225/75r15. Update 12/02/07

My 2005 toyota sienna has bridestone run flat tires. I noticed wear on my front tires at 15,741 miles and rotated my tires. I was noticing a noise from the front of my car and had the brakes checked, they were ok but my tires were not. Took vehicle to a bridgestone tire dealer and he said that the tires were shot with 17,600 miles. They are contacting the manufacturer to see if they will replace or adjust the tires. Is it safe to drive this car with these tires in this kind of condition? Mike berg. *jb
