  Bombardier recreational products, inc. (bombardier) is recalling certain 2019-2023 can-am ryker motorcycles. The impeller may swell, causing the high-pressure fuel pump to fail.
  dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed february 27, 2024. Owners may contact bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Bombardier's number for this recall is bulletin 2023-10.

• Recall 240270 [USA]: An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash.
  Bombardier recreational products (brp) is recalling certain 2019-2023 ryker motorcycles. The position light and flasher electrical harnesses in the front fenders may loosen and rub on the tire, leading to a short circuit and resulting in an engine stall while driving.

  Issue: on certain vehicles, the front wheel nuts and red locking clips may not have been installed correctly during the pre-delivery preparation. As a result, the front wheels could loosen and separate from the vehicle. Safety risk: a wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective action: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the front wheels installation.

  Issue: on certain vehicles, the wheel nuts could crack resulting in a reduced clamping force. Note: this recall is an expansion of recall 2020-1 (transport canada recall no. 2019-478). Vehicles repaired under that recall do not need a second repair under this recall. Safety risk: a cracked wheel nut could affect the vehicle's handling and control, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective action: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace all three wheel nuts.

Tl* the contact owns a 2020 can-am ryker. The contact stated that while driving 20 mph, he heard an abnormal clunking sound coming from the front passenger's side wheel. Upon inspection, the contact discovered the lug nut holding the wheel was barely tightened and could be loosened by hand. Despite the nut being tightened after the initial failure, the failure persisted shortly after. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle transported to his residence. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 350.

The contact was also informed that the vehicle might have struck an object that caused the failure. The manufacturer declined to take responsibility for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
