• Recall 89630 [USA]: This condition may cause inadequate sealing and loss of engine oil, possibly resulting in a fire.
  Certain honeywell fram racing brand hp4 and hp8 oil filters that were manufactured from may 25, 2006, through september 14, 2007, and sold for use as replacement equipment for vehicles list above. The affected filters are marked with a date code a61451 through a72571 sequentially. The date code and part number appear on the filter housing. Fram racing hp4 and hp8 oil filters not bearing a date code in this range are not affected by this recall. The gasket of the oil filter becomes more pliable under high temperatures and pressures.
  honeywell will replace the affected oil filters free of charge. The recall began during november 2007. Owners can contact fram customer service toll-free at 1-800-890-2075.

• Recall 59650 [USA]: This condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
  Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on "document search" and then "bus applications"). The connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. As a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.

  Vehicle description: certain 4-wheel drive pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles equipped with abs (antilock braking system) manufactured from september 1989 through august 1996. Under certain driving conditions the switch which signals the abs system whether the vehicle is in 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive can malfunction causing increased stopping distances during abs stops while in the two-wheel drive mode.

• Recall 21937 [USA]: Separation of the rotor sections can cause loss ofbraking ability in the affected wheel. this could result in increased stoppingdistance and/or loss of vehicle control and an accident.
  Severe corrosion due to road salt at the joint of the stamped steel center section and the cast outer section can cause the sections to separate.
  replace the front brake rotors with new rotors with a corrosion protection coating. However, if replacement of brake linings are necessary, it will be done at owner's expense since brake linings are normal maintenance items.

  Certain four wheel drive vehicles may experience increased stopping distances during abs stops while in the two-wheel drive mode. A switch can erroneously signal the abs system that the vehicle is in four-wheel drive when the vehicle is actually in two wheel drive. Abs light is on & has been coming on but going off ....Was not aware there was a recall til a friend told me to check it after i had a wreck!!!! I now found out that the abs might have had something to do with it...Due to my wreck i am going to be seeing a doctor for my injuries .... I was going around a curve when i went to slow down a little bit ...I was going 25...& my truck slid & when i went to turn to go around the curve my truck jerked to the left & i hit a barrier, and now i am unable to drive my truck .... Failures: brakes & abs system. *tr

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's windshield wiper circuit board was defective causing the windshield wipers to not consistently operate. The service dealer offered to fix the vehicle.

Consumer's vehicle was in a line of traffic stopped when the vehicle suddenly experienced sudden acceleration. This caused the vehicle to rear end another vehicle. Consumer contacted the dealer to see if this vehicle was recalled for any related failures. *ak the vehicle was taken to the dealer but they were unable to locate a problem. *nm

While driving at any speed, the abs light stayed on at all times. When the consumer had to use the brakes in an emergency situation there was not enough stopping distance to bring the vehicle to a safe stop. The manufacturer is aware of the problem. *jb

The vehicle abs light stayed on all the time, which meant that the abs systems was inoperative. *nlm

I have replaced the following items on this 1992 chevy s-10 blazer in the year and a half that i purchased it: 1.Egr valve 2.Throttle control sensor 3.Spark plugs and wires 4.Rotor and rotor button 5.Muffler system 6.Pcv valve 7.Fuel injector cleaned twice 8.Oxygen sensor 9.Lower ball joints and idler arm the first 8 items were replaced because of rough idling, smoke and sluggishness, and excessive use of gas($75.00 in a week). I also have a issue with peeling paint on the roof and sides of my truck, it is peeling in patches and the grey primer underneath is showing, this makes the truck look very bad.I was not aware that this was a major defect in this vehicle until recently and i want to find out how this can be fixed.

Vehicle uses excessive amount of fuel, replaced egr valve, throttle control sensor, oxygen sensor, cleaned fuel injector, replaced pcv valve, spark plugs, spark plug wires and still has rough idle and sometimes jerks forward when brakes are engaged. Also the service engine soon light frequently comes on reading a codes for the emissions system. Sometimes expels black smoke, and heavy smell of gas when first cranked. Could nhtsa help with this? *nlm

I am complaining about the 1990's chevrolet blazers. Several consumers have reported to me the same problem. The dash that is didital showing the mileage, spedometer and gas consumption goes out after a period of time and is defective which makes the vechicle unsafe because i cannot see how fast i am going, and gas consumption. I truly beleive this is a defective part. I spoke to a couple of business's that deal with this type of repair and i was informed that it would cost over one thousandy should of informed the consumers that ther was a possiabliit dollars to repair and i was also informed that they were aware of many of these parts going out making this a defective part. I feel that chevrolet. *ak
