The truck was parked when the driver noticed oil underneath the undercarriage. The driver took the truck to the dealer for analysis. The mechanic noticed the oil filter clamp needed tightening. *ph the aluminum ends of the oil lines that connected to the oil filter bracket were cracked. The consumer was informed by a mechanic and a magazine article that it was caused by bracket rubbing the aluminum. *cb *jb

Purchased vehicle from marine chevrolet in jacksonville, nc. Traveling on a road that curved to the left... I was not able to follow the road because the steering locked up... Was basically frozen. Luckily i applied my brakes and was able to keep going straight and ended up on thr side of the road. Very clear in my memory as because of this incident i did not make usmc morning formation and was chastised for my absence. Truck was repaired and did not have any other similar incidents. I kept the truck till 2004. It was traded in at a subaru dealer on tulane (hwy 61) avenue in new orleans, louisiana. *tr
