Purchased dec 2012. Within days following, experienced sporadic overheating. This has been an ongoing gripe. Personal research discovered freightliner fcc chassis mfg added horton fan clutch (hor990502) as part of rv specific chassis. As represented in numerous rv blogs (irv2, etc) during past nearly 6 years, overheating attributed to this routine defective horton fan clutch. The hundreds of overheating occurrences experienced caused extreme stress, potential highway driving safety as attention diverted from hwy to engine temp. Now faced with yet another trip delay and detour for service evaluation and expensive fees. Sporadic overheating occurrences happen when driving at normal operating temperature on any type of roadway.
