• Recall 113306 [USA]: Unstable entry and exit steps increase the risk of injury.
  Thor motor coach (thor) is recalling certain model year 2011-2016 thor challenger, thor citation, thor hurricane, thor tuscany, thor windsport, 2011-2012 thor astoria, thor avanti, thor chateau, 2011-2014 thor daybreak, 2011-2015 thor outlaw, thor siesta, 2014-2015 thor miramar, 2012 thor four winds, 2008-2011 damon astoria, damon daybreak, damon outlaw, damon tuscany, 2008-2012, damon challenger, 2008-2010 damon essence, 2009-2011 damon avanti, four winds chateau, four winds citation, four winds four winds, four winds hurricane, four winds siesta, four winds windsport, 2009-2010 four winds dorado, four winds dutchmen, four winds magellan, four winds mandalay and 2009 four winds fun mover, and four winds presidio motorhomes. The affected vehicles are equipped with certain lippert-brand coachstep double and triple electric steps. These steps use a bolt to attach the fan gear assembly to the steps. This bolt may fracture allowing the fan gear to disengage from the steps. As a result, the steps may not remain in the expected position and may be unstable.
  thor will notify owners, and dealers will install a retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism and replace all of the affected bolts, free of charge. The recall began on january 6, 2016. • Recall 71337 [USA]: The sensing algorithm or thermal switch installed to shut off power to the refrigerator when high temperatures are detected due to a possible hydrogen gas leak, may not shut-off in sufficient time to prevent a fire.
  Tmc is recalling certain model year 2004-2011 damon and four winds recreational vehicles equipped with 1200-series norcold refrigerators. The population of refrigerators being addressed contains either a sensing algorithm or thermal switch to shut off power to the refrigerator when high temperatures are detected in order to prevent a potential fire. The response times of the sensor algorithm and thermal switch devices to stop power are not sufficient.
  tmc is working with norcold to identify and notify any affected owners. Owners will be instructed to contact norcold dealers to receive the remedy free of charge. • Recall 77543 [USA]: If the weld fails, vehicle stability while cornering could be affected resulting in loss of vehicle control, possibly resulting in a crash. in addition, the transverse beam could drop to the ground causing sparks that could cause a fire hazard.
  Damon is recalling 179 my 2008 astoria, tuscany,essence, and my 2008-2009 astoria pacific motor home chassis equipped with saf-holland adl series rear suspensions. In some instances the transverse beam was not properly welded which could result in a failure of the weld.
  damon is working with daimler trucks/saf-holland to have a visual inspection of the adl transverse beam performed. If a weld defect is identified, saf-holland will provide a service replacement kit that contains a new transverse beam, all necessary installation hardware, beam replacement, and instructions free of charge (please see 08e031). • Recall 72865 [USA]: Incorrectly torqued steering arm fasteners may fatigue and fracture which could cause a crash without warning.
  Damon is recalling 126 my 2007-2008 tuscany, my 2008 astoria, and astoria pacific motor homes built on freightliner chassis. The fasteners that attach the steering arm or tie rod arms to the spindle may be over or under-tightened.

• Recall 2015529 [Canada]: Structure
  On certain motorhomes equipped with lippert components inc. Electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

• Recall 2010387 [Canada]: Accessories
  Certain refrigerators used in recreational vehicles (rvs) contain either a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch to interrupt power when it detects high temperatures that could lead to a fire. An insufficient response time can result in the power not being shut-off in sufficient time to prevent a fire, which could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.

  On certain vehicles, the fasteners that attach the steering arm or tie rod arm to the spindle may have been over or under tightened during assembly process. Incorrectly torqued steering arm fasteners may fatigue and fracture, possibly causing a crash without warning. Correction: dealers will inspect fasteners and apply correct tightening torque.

  On certain motorhomes, the rear suspension transverse beam may have been manufactured incorrectly. Should it fail, vehicle stability while cornering would be affected, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash with personal injury or death. In addition, the transverse beam could drop to the ground causing sparks that could create a fire hazard. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the transverse beam assembly.

Purchased motor home 8-27-08. Reported problem with windshield wiper to dealer 9-19-08. No repairs offered. Windshield wiper motor stopped in snow, sleet & rain while on trip to new england over thanksgiving holiday. Roadside assistance said not covered. Brakes would not stop us without delay. Attempted repairs at freightliner dealer in md and damon dealer in mass. Brake drums were rusted "due to sitting" for long period at dealership. Freightliner will not cover under warranty. Unable to get wipers repaired until returned to original dealer who kept it 2 weeks until repairing on 12-23-08, at which time rv was returned to us with a dead battery. Brake drums and shoes replaced at our expense on 1-5-09 ($1,600.00). *tr
