  Curt mfg is recalling certain class 3 receiver hitches, p/n 13347, sold as aftermarket equipment for use on 1997-2007 chrysler town and country vans, 1996-2007 dodge caravans, and 1996-2004 plymouth voyager vans. When the hitch is loaded to the maximum rating, the hitch may fracture or break at the bend location where the main body of the hitch meets the hitch muffler strap.

  Certain curved tempered replacement glass manufactured by hangzhou safety glass ltd and supplied to safelite by auto temp inc., identified as dot-430, and sold for use on certain domestic and foreign vehicles may not break into small pieces as expected of tempered glass and fails to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 205, "glazing materials."

  Issue: this recall is for aftermarket replacement rear window glass produced by vitro automotriz. Certain rear window glass may not have been properly tempered. If the window breaks, the glass may separate into large pieces instead of very small ones. Note: this is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the motor vehicle safety act. Safety risk: glass that breaks in to large pieces could create a risk of injury. Corrective actions: the company will notify consumers by mail and instruct them to inspect the designation code marked on the rear window glass. Products affected by this recall have the designation “dot 287” along with the lettering “vmr” (replacement market) and a date code that is before july 2019.   This defect petition evaluates july 7, 2014 allegations from an owner of a model year (my) 2007 dodge grand caravan minivan that engine stall occurs in these vehicles without warning after refueling.The petitioners vehicle is a chrysler rs platform minivan.The rs platform includes my 2003 through 2007 dodge grand caravan, dodge caravan, chrysler town and country and chrysler voyager minivans.Nhtsa evaluated the petition by analyzing consumer complaints submitted to the agency, analyzing field data, reviewing technical information provided in chryslers response to an agency information request and testing an rs minivan identified by its owner as experiencing post-refuel engine stalls.After completing this evaluation, nhtsa has concluded that further investigation is unlikely to result in a finding that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists.The stalls occurring in these vehicles only occur immediately after filling up the fuel tank and happen at low engine speeds. The failure rate is low, even after 8 to 13 years of the vehicles being in service, and there are no reports of crashes or injuries resulting from the stall condition.In the agencys view, additional investigation is unlikely to result in finding the existence of a safety-related defect in the subject vehicles.Given the need to allocate and prioritize nhtsas limited resources to best accomplish the agencys safety mission, the petition is denied.This action does not constitute a finding by nhtsa that a safety-related defect does not exist. The gas tank has been replaced twice due to cracks at the fuel pump. Gas cap light and check engine light come on. Had it replaced a week ago and it has come on again after paying $1,800.00. When ordered from the dealership they shipped it out cracked and the mechanics had to hunt down another. We have been driving this vehicle not knowing this was a known issue.. Mechanics state this is a common issue with the make and model. How is this not on a recall? *tr

I bought a 2007 dodge caravan, the drivers side window switch seems to be burning out not allowing me to roll the window down on the electric switch and when it does, has a hard time trying to go back up. Then my drivers side passenger van door has a button on top in the front that you can hit it and its suppose to open that side of the van door, the van door also doesn't open from the inside it has to be opened on the outside posing a dangerous issue. But the other switch opens the passenger side van door fine. My 3rd row seats don't want to stay up , they want to lay down posing safety hazards. My bearings or something sound bad, and my passenger side door has to be opened on the inside and wo'nt open on the outside.

After filling up my gas tank i drove away from the fuel place, and i was at a green light making a left turn and during the left turn my van stalled!! Another time after this, directly after filling up gas i was idling at a red light not far from where i fueled up, when my van surged forward! This is apparently an "extended warranty" up to the 2005 dodge caravan for a faulty vapour/liquid separator valve that is built into the gas tank. I contacted dodge and they said that because my van was a 2007 not a 2005 that they couldn't recall it. This is so extremely dangerous and unbelievable that they won't extend this warranty.Had someone been coming when i was turning left and my van stalled i would've been t-boned. All of this occurred on a city street.

Unknown. After refueling, if you fill up the tank all the way the car wll completely lose power once you start driving. This may happen immediately or after you have been driving for a few minutes. You will lose all power steering and power brakes, making it difficult to control the vehicle. If you have any speed at all, it is pretty impossible to slow down. Tl* the contact owns a 2007 dodge caravan. While driving 35 mph, there was a strong exhaust odor and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was coasted to the side of the road and failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (putman chrysler jeep dodge, 3 california dr., burlingame, ca 94010) where it was diagnosed that the catalytic converter failed. The vehicle was repaired. After the vehicle was repaired, the contact would become sleepy while driving. The contact believed this was due to carbon monoxide entering the vehicle. She also stated that the floorboard was very hot to the touch. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The failure mileage was 128,000. The vin was not available.

Car stalls and sometimes dies after refueling. This always happens after pulling onto road into traffic. So far i have avoided being hit by another car! This has been happening for a long time. Dealer says replace fuel tank,poor design.

I have the same problem of intermittently stalling that others report after fueling. It comes and goes.
