  Certain curved tempered replacement glass manufactured by hangzhou safety glass ltd and supplied to safelite by auto temp inc., identified as dot-430, and sold for use on certain domestic and foreign vehicles may not break into small pieces as expected of tempered glass and fails to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 205, "glazing materials."

  Issue: this recall is for aftermarket replacement rear window glass produced by vitro automotriz. Certain rear window glass may not have been properly tempered. If the window breaks, the glass may separate into large pieces instead of very small ones. Note: this is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the motor vehicle safety act. Safety risk: glass that breaks in to large pieces could create a risk of injury. Corrective actions: the company will notify consumers by mail and instruct them to inspect the designation code marked on the rear window glass. Products affected by this recall have the designation “dot 287” along with the lettering “vmr” (replacement market) and a date code that is before july 2019. This information is printed on the bottom corner of the glass. Consumers should contact vitro's customer service at 1-412-995-6457 or [email protected] to arrange for replacement of the glass.

  This defect petition evaluates july 7, 2014 allegations from an owner of a model year (my) 2007 dodge grand caravan minivan that engine stall occurs in these vehicles without warning after refueling.The petitioners vehicle is a chrysler rs platform minivan.The rs platform includes my 2003 through 2007 dodge grand caravan, dodge caravan, chrysler town and country and chrysler voyager minivans.Nhtsa evaluated the petition by analyzing consumer complaints submitted to the agency, analyzing field data, reviewing technical information provided in chryslers response to an agency information request and testing an rs minivan identified by its owner as experiencing post-refuel engine stalls.After completing this evaluation, nhtsa has concluded that further investigation is unlikely to result in a finding that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists.The stalls occurring in these vehicles only occur immediately after filling up the fuel tank and happen at low engine speeds. The failure rate is low, even after 8 to 13 years of the vehicles being in service, and there are no reports of crashes or injuries resulting from the stall condition.In the agencys view, additional investigation is unlikely to result in finding the existence of a safety-related defect in the subject vehicles.Given the need to allocate and prioritize nhtsas limited resources to best accomplish the agencys safety mission, the petition is denied.This action does not constitute a finding by nhtsa that a safety-related defect does not exist. The agency will take further action if warranted by future circumstances. After each and every vehicle fueling, the vehicle stalls several times causing loss of steering and brakes. This is dangerous and unsafe as this scenario happened to me at an intersection and at a turn nearly causing me to have an accident. *tr

Whever i fill up the gas tank, the car starts to stall and jerks and stops all the way. It displays engine light and goes into cruise mode. I have to turn it off n back on and still jerks until the fuel is little empty. When i don't fill it full then it doesn't do this

My 2007 dodge grand caravan se can be easily shifted into gear while in auxiliary power, and it sometimes locks out my brakes, as there is a locked steering wheel you can't steer it and can't turn it on without shifting back to park which can be difficult if the brakes lock. A child could easily set it in gear if you are running the air and you leave the car briefly, i do not have kids but i do run some taxi work in the neighborhood. It could be done anywhere as long as it's in auxiliary power to radio and electrics but not fully on

After almost every fill up vehicle stalls when going down road. After researching the problem i found the vapor/liquid separator valve is defective. Evidently this is a common problem and a safety issue in my opinion. To be driving down the road and your vehicles shut down is dangerous. Why does the manufacturer not have a recall on this problem.
