Very dangerous and hazardous to, as driver be unexpectedly propelled backwards because seatbelt has caught under release lever on left bottom of drivers seat. Can result in accident if drivers unexpectedly is prone because seat back reclined and no line of sight of other vehicles or hazards on road can be seen, just the interior roof of vehicle suddenly is all that drivers can see.

Vehicle had finished warming up, with foot on brake and putting vehicle in reverse, it started jumping backwards and stalled. Consumer put vehicle in park, retarted it, and it took off. After a mile, vehicle started losing power. Mechanic and consumer were going for a test ride, and vehicle woldn't go into any gears.*ak

I am sending a letter to daimler chrysler on 3/13/02. Dealer has failed to resolve an intermittent failure of the abs system, but has charged me $140 for the time spent.
