Recall 2013416 [Canada]: Engine
On certain vehicles equipped with cummins isc engines, the engine cooling fan may fail and break apart. If this occurs while the hood is open, a person in the vicinity of the engine could be struck by the blade and injured. Correction: dealers will replace the radiator fan and install a stiffener disc.
Recall 2013303 [Canada]: Brakes
On certain vehicles equipped with a four-in-one air gauge, the air brake system pressure gauge may display an inaccurate pressure reading. This could cause the service brake air pressure to be lower than anticipated, causing a reduction in braking force and an unexpected application of emergency spring brakes, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the air gauge.
Recall 2012426 [Canada]: Electrical
On certain vehicles, the connector for the brake and cruise control signal diode jumper assembly may come loose, resulting in a possible intermittent or continuously open circuit. Two circuits are potentially affected. One circuit disengages the cruise control with brake pedal application, and the other circuit illuminates the brake lights with brake application. Failure of the cruise control to disengage, or of the brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will verify that the locking tabs on the diode jumper assembly connector are fully engaged and locked into place.
Recall 2011373 [Canada]: Engine
On certain motorhomes equipped with a cummins engine, the v-band clamps used to connect the inlet and outlet cone sections to the diesel oxidation catalyst (doc) / diesel particulate filter (dpf) include a t-bolt which can fracture and fail when subjected to stress or load. A fracture or failure of the t-bolt may cause the clamp to loosen and the inlet or outlet sections attached to the doc/dpf housing to disconnect. Should this occur, hot exhaust gases can vent prior to exiting the tailpipe, creating a risk of combustion or damage to adjacent materials, which could result in a vehicle fire. If both clamps fail, the doc/dpf housing could detach completely, separate from the vehicle, and strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: cummins will install updated v-band clamps.
Recall 2011283 [Canada]: Electrical
On certain motorhomes, a one inch plug-in circuit breaker (single pole 15, 20 or 30 amps) may have a non-conforming "spring clip" plug-in assembly that breaks or fails to provide sufficient force to maintain a proper electrical connection. Over time, this could lead to excessive temperature, arcing or thermal damage at the connection point. This could lead to a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will replace affected circuit breakers.
Recall 2011268 [Canada]: Label
On certain motorhomes, the federal certification tag does not indicate correct intermediate and rear tire pressure ratings in kilopascals (kpa) - although the markings in pounds per square inch (psi) are correct. Improper tire pressure can lead to tire failure which, in turn, can result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.
Recall 2011131 [Canada]: Electrical
On certain motorhomes, the dimmer switch, which controls interior lighting, can fail and overheat. Overheating of the dimmer switch can result in personal injury or discomfort if an individual touches the dimmer switch during the failure. The switch will not become hot enough to cause a fire. Correction: dealers will replace the dimmer switch.
Recall 2014063 [Canada]: Suspension
On certain vehicles built on a spartan chassis, the front sway bar end links may bind and break. This could affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: dealers will install redesigned end links.
