• Recall 96457 [USA]: If the motor assembly screws shear, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the vehicle is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.

Is recalling certain model year 2013 jamboree sport diesel, providence, tioga dsl and tioga ranger dsl; 2014 excursion, expedition, jamboree sport, montara commercial, searcher commercial, southwind, storm, terra, and tioga ranger; and 2013-2014 bounder, bounder classic, and discovery recreational vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with weatherpro and 9100 series power awnings. Due to a design change in the power awning motor assembly, the motor assembly screws may unknowingly shear.
  fleetwood rv will notify owners and dometic staff will replace the affected motors with motors of a different design. The recall began during june 2013. Owners may contact fleetwood rv owner relations at 1-800-509-3418 or dometic at 1-888-447-0003 for more information. Owners are being instructed not to drive their vehicle until repairs can be performed.

  On certain motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will replace the awning motor.

• Recall 2012426 [Canada]: Electrical
  On certain vehicles, the connector for the brake and cruise control signal diode jumper assembly may come loose, resulting in a possible intermittent or continuously open circuit. Two circuits are potentially affected. One circuit disengages the cruise control with brake pedal application, and the other circuit illuminates the brake lights with brake application. Failure of the cruise control to disengage, or of the brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will verify that the locking tabs on the diode jumper assembly connector are fully engaged and locked into place.

The undercarriage side storage access doors do not remain closed even when locked. Often when the road is bumpy or rough the doors will fly open. Recently while traveling through jacksonville fl on i-95 the passenger side doors flew open when i slowed down. I was in the center lane during heavy heavy traffic and cars on my right had to slam on brakes and veer to the right to avoid hitting the doors. Having to get over to the right lane to get of the road with the doors open was incredibly dangerous and we were fortunate to make it without a serious incident. I have asked the dealer to adjust the locking mechanism which he said he did but the doors continue to fly open. This as been recurring since i bought the rv in 2013.
