• Recall 45778 [USA]: Release of coolant under certain conditions could ignite and result in a fire.
  Certain motor homes and travel trailers equipped with a two-door refrigerator, manufactured by the dometic corporation, may have a defect in the boiler tube. Pressurized coolant solution could be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) is present.
  fleetwood will be working with dometic in order to repair these refrigerators (please see 06e076). Dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. Dometic has retained stericycle inc. To manage this campaign. Stericycle will assist you in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. • Recall 13216 [USA]: If the slide-out room operates unexpectedly, the motor home width will increase which could lead to an accident if traveling or property damage could occur while the motor home is parked.
  The e-z slide-out room can operate unexpectedly. Water can cause an electrical short in the slide-out room control relay.
  dealers will install a replacement control relay in a waterproof location on these motor homes.

  On certain motorhomes, conventional travel trailers and fifth wheel travel trailers equipped with a dometic corporation refrigerator, a fatigue crack can develop in the boiler tube. This could allow the release of pressurized coolant solution into an area where an ignition source is present, which could result in a fire. Correction: dealers will replace the refrigerator's boiler tube assembly.

• Recall 1996192 [Canada]: Structure
  Note: vehicles equipped with the e-z glide expandable room system. Water intrusion may short out the slide out room control relay. This could cause the slide out room to operate unexpectedly while travelling thereby increasing the width of the vehicle by approximately 36 inches to about 11 1/2 feet. This wide vehicle width could lead to collisions while travelling or slide out room impact to adjacent objects while the motor home is parked. Correction: motor home control relay will be inspected and replaced. Relay will also be installed in a waterproof box to prevent future water intrusion.

Tl* the contact owns a 1997 fleetwood flair. The contact stated that while parked on a hill, the vehicle began to roll down the hill on its own. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000.

Consumer was alerted to a fire in the video compartment above the passenger seat, consumer was able to put the fire out before the fire department arrived, review of the fire by the insurance company indicated that the fire started in a defective surge protector, consumer states everything was off when this fire occurred. *slc
