  Daimler trucks north america, llc (dtna) is recalling certain 2022 fccc shuttle chassis, 2022-2023 fccc rv chassis, fccc van chassis, van chassis gas, 2023 freightliner cascadia, freightliner business class m2, thomas built bus school bus chassis, western star 4700, western star 47x, western star 4900, and western star 49x commercial buses. The tie rod may be missing a fastener, allowing the steer arm to detach.

• Recall 2022288 [Canada]: Steering
  Issue: on certain trucks, a bolt for the upper joint on the steering shaft may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the joint could disconnect and cause a loss of steering. Safety risk: a loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: daimler truck north america (dtna) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dtna authorized service facility to inspect the upper joint on the steering shaft, and if necessary, re-install the pinch bolt.
