• Recall 14685 [USA]: If the turn signal function is lost, following motorists would not be aware of the turning vehicle, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
  Vehicle description: heavy duty truck. The shoulder bolt which holds the grote turn signal switch case and components together can loosen resulting in the turn signal malfunctioning.
  dealers will inspect these vehicles and tighten any loose bolts and in the turn signal switch within 2 years from the date of the recall notification letter. The shoulder bolt will be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled with loctite. Owners can also request loctite and repair instructions so they can fix the vehicles themselves.

• Recall 17699 [USA]: If the vehicle is not properly parked with the transmission in the correct position, and if the vehicle is parked on a grade, it could unintentionally roll away increasing the potential for an accident.
  The parking brake lever may not travel far enough over center to assure that it remains in the proper position allowing the vehicle to roll away while parked.
  dealers will remove and replace the parking brake lever with a lever that requires a 25 lb. Effort to release.

• Recall 15497 [USA]: If the air dryer separates from the base, the cartridgecan separate sufficiently enough to cause personal injury or property damage.
  Air system blockage in the air dryer occurs degrading the moisture removing capabilities of the dryer when the vehicle is operated in a cold environment and moisture accumulates and freezes in the air dryer or in the line between the dryer and the air system reservoir. The air dryer can become over pressurized causing the air dryer cartridge to separate from the mounting base.
  dealers will equip air systems with a pressure relief valve to be located between the compressor and the air dryer. This pressure relief valve is intended to vent if excessive pressure develops in the air dryer.

  The brake chamber mounting studs can loosen or pull through due to fatigue in the brake chamber housing caused by foundation brake chatter.
  dealers will change the brake lining materials, replace the wing bracket with a reinforced bracket and install brake chambers with reinforced chamber housing and larger (1/2") mounting studs.

  As the brake pads wear, the brake caliper travel may be limited by interference with the main support member (z-bar spring) of the suspension.

  These vehicles are equipped with 12" and 16" front brake chambers mounted on rockwell foundation brakes. The brake chamber mounting studs may loosen or pull through due to fatigue in the brake chamber housing caused by foundation brake chatter. Correction: brake lining materials will be changed. • Recall 1995076 [Canada]: Brakes
  Note: vehicles equipped with rockwell wabco system saver 1000 air dryers. In air brake systems requiring a large volume of air to pass through the dryer in a short period of time, the dryer cannot remove all of the moisture from the air. In a cold environment this moisture may freeze and effectively block the air lines downstream of the dryer resulting in an air pressure build up in the dryer. This air pressure may eventually cause the dryer cartridge to separate from the dryer. The separated cartridge may cause bodily injury to anyone standing near the dryer at the instant of separation. Correction: pressure relief valves will be installed in the dryer outlet ports on the affected vehicles.

  Defect: the mechanical parking brake lever may not travel far enough over center to assure that it remains in the applied position. If the vehicle was jarred the brake lever could release, resulting in a possible rollaway. Correction: remove and replace the parking brake lever with a brake lever that has 10 degrees over center travel and requires a 25 lb. Effort to release.
