• Recall 75213 [USA]: Sudden loss of steering assist without warning involving a motor home could be a problem for certain drivers increasing the risk of a crash.
  On certain motor home chassis built using inline power steering filters, part no. 14-16829-000, the filter can plug due to failure of the screen adhesion to the filter housing causing a rise in return line pressure. This can lead to hose separation from the filter or steering gear fitting resulting in a sudden loss of steering fluid and power assist.

• Recall 88719 [USA]: If allowed to progress, this can lead to engine failure with the possibility of the rod rupturing the lock cavity, oil and debris on the roadway and vehicle crash.
  On certain motor homes built with cummins isl cm850 diesel engines, the connecting rod contains a machining defect in the wrist pin bushing of the rod that could cause a seizure of the piston pin.
  freightliner is working with cummins to recalibrate the engine control module and enhance the engine protection system enabling it to provide early detection of the failure mode and avoid more serious engine damage and resultant safety hazard. Cummins will also install a new valve cover with a crankcase pressure sensor free of charge (please see 07e033). Owners may contact cummins at 800-343-7357 or freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.

• Recall 2008436 [Canada]: Fuel supply
  On certain vehicles, high pressure fuel lines and transfer tubes may fatigue and fracture, causing a diesel fuel leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. Correction: dealers will replace the fuel lines and transfer tubes with more robust versions.

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 freightliner xc. While driving 60 mph, the fuel line cracked and diesel and smoke began pouring out of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they stated that the fuel line cracked. The vehicle was repaired. The current mileage was 12,650 and failure mileage was 12,485.
