• Recall 20206 [USA]: Separation of the wheel assembly can cause loss of vehicle control and separation of the brake line results in loss of one-half of the braking system, increasing stopping distance. in either case, an accident can occur.
  The right rear and left axle shaft housing tubes were incorrectly welded and can fracture. Fracture of the rear axle shaft housing can result in separation of the affected wheel assembly and separation of the brake line.
  dealers will inspect the welds of the rear axle assemblies on involved vehicles and, if necessary, replace the complete rear axle assembly.

  The rear axle housing assemblies on these vehicles may have been manufactured incorrectly, which could allow a welding fracture at the axle shaft housing tube to the differential case. Fracture of the axle shaft housing could result in loss of rear braking and adversely affect vehicle control. Correction: rear axle housing assembly will be inspected and replaced if required.

1993 geo tracker air condition pump was cracked. *bf

Geo trackers, one a 1993 and the other a 2003 model, caught fire after an accident, ref odi number 10111697. *bf the consumer was rear ended by another motorist. (lawyer wrote in on behalf of client). Attorney provided par on incident and fire inuured occupant was seated in front passenger seat.Pco

While driving at 40 mph brake line fractured, causing vehicle to swerve out of control. Dealer notified. *ak

Rear axle shaft housing tube failed while driving. Lost control of vehicle. Nearly rolled over. Had it towed to mechanic. Indication was a lack of oil going to differential which caused problem with rear axle.*ak it was also found that the right rear differential had totally failed. *yh

Panel where driver side top door hinge is attached experienced metal fatigue, causing door to separate from frame.*ak

The bolts that hold the a/c unit compressor in the engine sheared off, causing the compressor to fall out. Also, power steering became inoperative which may result in loss of steering control. Gm contacted and will not offer assistance for this design defect.*ak *ml

Vehicle was invoved in an accident which caused vehicle to roll over. While rolling over jack freed itself from the support under the seat, and flew around, almost hitting consumer in the head. Can nhtsa look into this matter before it happened to someone else. *ak

Faulty weld from the housing to the tube not noticed during a recall inspection. (recall# 94v073001) (qcaw)

Metal area surrounding the hinge bolts, which hold the upper side of the driver's door, fatigued and gave away.

Insulatin from dash jammed blower and melter wiring.

Door hinge weld failed resulting in separation from frame.

When hit at 6:00 position when rear ended driver and passenger side seat backs fell completly backwards. Tt
