  The detroit diesel allison engines 6v-92 and 8v-92 were equipped with fast idle air cylinders, which were improperly assembled. Consequence of defect: the improperly assembled units could cause the fast idle air cylinder assembly to bend or break. This would cause erratic engine speed or inability to shut down the engine, which could result in a vehicle crash without warning.

The side detection modules in my 2015 impala have gone bad for the second time in less than 2 years. They were replaced in february of 2019. This was mostly covered through a special "recall" to repair and prevent a reoccurrence of the failure. Now, in december on 2020, i am experiencing the exact same condition. They did not repair the modules to prevent the same condition from arising again. They get wet because of a bad design and fault out, leading to car shutting down or even fire from harness to modules connection. General motors and/or the dealership (suburban cadillac, now shaheen cadillac of lansing mi) simply replaced disfunctional parts with the exact same disfunctional parts. A consumer should not be required to continuously repay for a possibly dangerous malfunction that the company is quite aware of. I truly hope that they are not allowed to continue this in the future. The refusal to accept financial responsibility for repairs due to negligent design and inadequate fixes is even more enraging.

My radio is completely blacked out for a while now and can't hear my blinkers and on top of that the car is now making noise and running hot so maybe the fan no parts have been replaced so i'm guessing it due to manufacturers failure

2013 cadillac xts 37,937 miles. Vehicle had a complete steering gear failure causing the car to become inoperable. The complete steering gear assembly had to be replaced at the cadillac dealership out of warranty at a cost of over $1,600. I believe this to be a very serious safety concern; especially on a vehicle of such low mileage. The dealership took the oem parts into their possession.

My dash has a huge crack over the steering area, extending to the right to the passenger airbag area. This vehicle has been garage kept since new. This is the original dash.

While traveling at 70 mph on the expressway, my 2015 buick enclave simply shut off. There were no warning lights or any kind of indicator there was an issue prior to my engine becoming disabled. It left my children, husband and i stuck at night, in the rain on the side of the expressway. We thankfully were able to make it to the shoulder, as i was in the right lane to begin with. The dealership replaced the throttle and said the error code indicated plates in the throttle were sticking. This seems like some type of design flaw to shut off the engine and have no warning of an issue on a 1 year old vehicle.
