Gmc Yukon 1994

• Recall 59964 [USA]: This condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
  Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on "document search" and then "bus applications"). The connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. As a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.
  honeywell will notify owners and replace the fuel filters free of charge. The recall began on october 18, 2006. Owners may contact fram customer service at 1-800-890-2075 (option 1).

• Recall 35326 [USA]: If this were to occur during bad weather, driver visibility would be reduced, which could result in a crash.
  On certain minivans, pickup trucks, and sport utility vehicles with certain model-engine combinations, the windshield wiper motor may fail due to cracked solder joints on the controller circuit board. The windshield wipers could work intermittently or not at all.
  dealers will replace the wiper motor circuit board and cover. Owner notification began on june 19, 2003. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020, gmc at 1-800-462-8782, or oldsmobile at 1-800-442-6537.

  Vehicle description: light duty pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, 2 and 4-wheel drive. Solder joints near the wiring harness connector can crack causing the windshield wipers to work intermittently.

• Recall 14828 [USA]: Certain vehicles can exhibit some driveability concerns such as poor throttle response, stalling, misfire, poor hot or cold starting, extended cranking of a hot engine, or stalling after start. trucks with manualtransmissions can exhibit poor acceleration from start or could stall during deceleration.
  Vehicle description: light duty pickup trucks, vans and motorhomes equipped with electronically fuel injected 6.5l diesel engine. This is not a safety recall in accordance with federal regulation part 573. However, it is deemed a safety improvement campaign by the agency. The campaign will improve the overall driveability of these vehicles.
  dealers will install some recently developed enhancements which will improve the overall driveability of these vehicles.

  Certain vehicles (not involved in recall 98-150), may experience a windshield wiper failure due to cracked solder joints on the controller circuit board. If this were to occur in a severe weather situation, driver's visibility could be reduced, which could result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. Correction: dealer will replace defective wiper motor until 7 years or 112 000 km from date vehicle was originally placed into service or for those vehicles currently outside of this coverage, until march 31 2004.

Tl* the contact owns a 1994 gmc yukon. The contact stated that while parking, there was a loud bang from under the frame. The contact discovered that the vehicle was rusted near the axle and lower control arms. The failure was reported to the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileages were 140,000. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 1994 gmc yukon. While driving at an unknown speed in the rain, the windshield wiper motor failed. When the contact set the wipers on high, they worked intermittently. Report number 71-744459098 was filed with the manufacturer and they stated that the vin was excluded from nhtsa campaign id number 03v159000 (visibility:windshield wiper/washer). He will take the vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed. The failure mileage was 132,000 and current mileage was 133,000.

Truck popped out of gear and rolled backwards and crashed in to a barn. *tr

When braking hard, especially in a downhill motion on wet or snowy roads the brakes lock up. Removing one's foot from the pedal does not release the braking action. Only when the tires stop skidding does the braking action release, allowing for one to "try again" by applying the brakes more gently. By then the vehicle is nearly stopped anyway. I have nearly skidded into intersections or cars in front of me on at least five occasions.*ak

The consumer was driving 25 mph, when the front brakes locked, causing him to drive into a creek. The vehicle was retrieved and towed. The abs had started to make a noise prior to the brakes locking. *jb

While driving in rainy weather front windshield wipers failed. Recall 03v159000 was issued. But this vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin. *ak *mr

I own a 1994 gmc yukon and the windshield wipers quit working without warning. Sometimes they will start working on their own, sometimes you have to tug on them to get them to start up again. The recall says 1994 to 1997 but i have not received a letter. Gm says my vin is not included. This is a joke, there is definately a defect and this is very dangerous as i drive 68 miles a day. *ak

Windshield wipers completly stopped working in a winter storm 12/09/03. I found out about a recall on the wiper circuit board and took it to the dealership and told them what had happened. They did nothing but look at the vin and told me that my 1994 yukon needed a circuit but did not fit into the recall. They were going to charge me $85.00 for something that many others get fixed for free. They knew what was wrong with the wipers without any exam at all. That tells me that there must also be a problem with all on the circuit boards in all of the trucks. I called gmc they told me it had to do with the plants were the boards were made. I would like to know how many plants there were. It would seem to me that if other people are haveing problems with the same part on the same trucks but their parts were made in a different plant that there is not a problem with the plant but a problem with the design of the part that will cause all of them to fail. I am going to have the one from my truck looked at by someone that designs and manufactures boards every day to see if the problem is the same as the one stated in the recall. Someone needs to have this recall expanded to cover all of the defective (poorly designed) parts.*ak
