While attending a motorcycle experienced rider's course i noticed smoke originating from underneath the motorcycle. I pulled the motorcycle off the course and noticed there was no rear brake pressure. Further inspection revealed the rear brake light switch burned/melted causing a severe brake fluid leak. *tr

I have a 2007 harley vrscdx motorcycle. The fuel gauge has an intermittent problem where at various fuel levels it will drop to "empty or full". It began before the warranty was void but because it was intermittent the dealer said they couldn't fix it and to bring it back when the problem is occurring. I have never been near the dealer when the problem occurs and have not been able to force it to happen. It has twice provided wrong readings that resulted in being stranded on a highway in traffic. The fuel gauge or sending unit is not reliable at all. Being on a busy highway on a motorcycle out of gas in the carpool lane is not a safe place to be... *tr

2007 harley vrscdx. The rear brakes went out while riding. Pulled off the side of the road to inspect why. Brake fluid was leaking from the rear brake switch. The wires on the rear brake switch were severely melted and brake fluid was leaking. My bike is 100% stock unmodified in any way with only 4253 miles. I babied the motorcycle home without rear brakes. *tr

The fuel gauge shows fuel when empty. This happens constantly and can be hazards on busy highways and bridges. I own a 2007 harley davidson night rod special and my understanding is that harley davidson has been aware of the problem for some time but has done nothing to fix the problem. *tr

I own a 2007 harley davidson vrscdx. The rear brake switch caught on fire on 8/14/10. This switch is located directly in front of and next to the plastic fuel tank under the seat. This has happened to numerous vrod models of various years and information can be found on 1130cc.Com. Various people have contacted harley davidson with no response. *tr
