Recall 137448 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Rev recreation group (rev) is recalling certain 2009-2010 and 2012-2014 holiday rambler ambassador, 2010 and 2013-2014 endeavor, 2009-2010 neptune, 2010 scepter, and 2011 trip diesel motorhomes, equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Recall 115427 [USA]: Unstable entry and exit steps increase the risk of injury.
Allied recreation group, inc. (arg) is recalling certain model year 2010-2011 holiday rambler admiral, 2009-2014 holiday rambler ambassador, 2010 holiday rambler arista, 2010-2014 holiday rambler endeavor, 2009-2011 holiday rambler neptune, 2011-2014 holiday rambler vacationer, 2009-2011 monaco cayman, 2010-2014 monaco diplomat, 2014 monaco dynasty, 2009-2014 monaco knight, 2012-2013 monaco lapalma, 2009-2013 monaco monarch, 2009-2011 monaco riptide, 2008 safari passage, and 2008 safari simba motorhomes. The affected vehicles are equipped with certain lippert-brand coachstep double electric steps. These steps use a bolt to attach the fan gear assembly to the steps. This bolt may fracture allowing the fan gear to disengage from the steps. As a result, the steps may not remain in the expected position and may be unstable. arg will notify owners and dealers will install a retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, free of charge. The recall began on february 12, 2016. Owners may contact arg customer service number at 1-800-509-3417. Recall 2018006 [Canada]: Accessories
On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. Recall 2016019 [Canada]: Accessories
On certain motorhomes equipped with lippert components inc. Electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.
Recall 2014541 [Canada]: Seats and restraints
Certain vehicles fail to conform to canada motor vehicle safety standard (cmvss) 207 - anchorage of seats and cmvss 210 – seat belt assembly anchorages. The driver and passenger bucket seat pedestal brackets may have been improperly installed at the time of assembly, causing the seats to fail to meet the requirements of the standard. Failure of the seat and/or seat belt anchorages to restrain the occupant would increase the risk of personal injury during a crash. Correction: dealers will inspect the seat mounting and reinstall it properly, if necessary.
