The mounting screws for the satellite dish may not have been fastened through the sheet steel reinforcement, possibly allowing the satellite dish to detach from the roof while driving.

  Issue: on certain motorhomes, some openings in the floor may not be properly sealed. This could allow exhaust gases and carbon monoxide to enter the motorhome. Safety risk: a build-up of carbon monoxide inside the motorhome could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective actions: rev group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer for an inspection. Any openings in the floor will be sealed. The company recommends that you should also check to ensure that the carbon monoxide detector is working properly, and that it has not passed its expiration date.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with onan 5.5 kilowatt efi generators, the external fuel pump and in-line fuel filter for the generator may be improperly secured to the underside of the motorhome chassis. If the fuel pump, fuel filter, or connected fuel lines were to detach or are jarred loose, a fuel leak may result, which in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will inspect the mounting of the generator’s external fuel pump and in-line fuel filter, and if necessary, properly secure the fuel pump's mounting bracket to the chassis frame and secure the fuel filter lines with insulated clamps, as required.

  On certain motorhomes, the sway bar that is attached to the rear of the chassis may not have the correct torque specifications applied. This could cause the mounting nuts to become loose, and could result in the sway bar detaching, which would create a road hazard and could affect vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: dealers will replace the sway bar attachment u-bolts and fasteners and ensure that the nuts are tightened to specification.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 holiday rambler vacationer xe recreational vehicle. When the vehicle was purchased, the electronic steps and generator failed to function, the high beams were structurally unsound and beamed upwards versus in the direction needed for visibility, and the low beam headlights provided poor illumination. Also, there was a failure with the sway bar and fuel pump, a loose connection on a chair affecting the driver while the vehicle was in motion, the master bedroom escaper screen fell out, and the rv swayed back and forth with an unstable suspension. The vehicle was taken to several dealers: giant recreation world (1355 culver dr. Ne, palm bay, fl 32907, (321) 242-6261), giant recreation world (5270 n us hwy 1, palm shores, fl 32940, (321) 242-6261), giant recreation world - ormond beach (280 destination daytona ln, ormond beach, fl), and giant recreation world (13906 w colonial dr., winter garden, fl 34787, (407) 656-6444) for diagnostic testing, but the failures continued. An additional unknown dealer was also contacted, but the failures persisted. The manufacturer was notified. The vin and failure mileage were not available. *tt
