I researched online and found several complaints, and even that honda has changed the part number for replacement, and it's 300.00. They should recall these starters. *tr

When pressing the starter button the engine gives a half crank then nothing. Release and push again and maybe the starter will crank and start the motor. I replaced the battery with new and when the motor cranks and starts, the trip and clock reset every time the bike is shut down and restarted. Many owners have the same problem and the replacement starter part number and size is different than original. Honda upgraded the starter based on past claims but never did a recall. New starter is $300+ if you don't purchase the extended warranty and basic expires.
